  1. 1. Tickets

    Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia.

    Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.

  2. 2. Raffle

    BC Gaming Event Licence #162535

    1 for $10.00; 700 tickets
    3 for $20.00; 1950 tickets

  3. 3. Important Dates & Draw Information

    Deadline
    Final ticket sales deadline: June 18, 2025 at 11:59:00 p.m. PDT

    Draw
    Prize Raffle draw: June 19, 2025 at 12:00:00 p.m. PDT

    If for some reason, the draw cannot take place on the draw date listed, a substitute draw date and time will be selected. All ticket purchasers will be able to see the amended draw date and time information posted on the same website the ticket was purchased.

    Draw will be held at Henley House, 1117 Malaview Rd, Gibsons, BC V0N 1V4

    The winning ticket is drawn using Random Number Generator software (RNG). 

    All ticket holders are welcome to attend the draw.

    Winners will be posted online at https://scbearalliance.rafflenexus.com/winners on June 19, 2025.

  4. 4. Winner

    Winner will be contacted by phone by the Sunshine Coast Bear Alliance Society.

    Winners consent to release of their names by licensee.

    If a winning ticket bears a minor's name, the prize will be lawfully delivered to the minor's parent, legal guardian or trustee.

    No tickets will be purchased by the Board of Directors of the Sunshine Coast Bear Alliance Society or employees involved with the conduct and management of the ticket raffle.

  5. 5. Privacy

    Sunshine Coast Bear Alliance Society does not sell, rent or exchange any personal information collected from our supporters with any other organization or entity.

  6. 6. Complaints

    Any complaints can be directed to the raffle administrators by emailing: scbearalliance@gmail.com. Administrators will review the complaint and take action if necessary.

  7. 7. Delay in Draw

    Should a delay occur in the draw time on draw day, every effort will be made to make the draw as soon as possible. Should an alternate day need to be announced, after approval by BC Gaming, all ticket purchasers will be notified via email.

  8. 8. Other

    Please email our team at scbearalliance@gmail.com should you require a refund for any ticket purchases or would like to issue a complaint, and we would be happy to assist you.

Cause

Sunshine Coast Bear Alliance began in 2019 in response to the number of black bears killed due to incidents involving garbage and attractants. Our mission is to end negative human-bear encounters on our coast and promote a pragmatic understanding of our bears and an appreciation of the bears that call the coast home.

Since our inception we have raised awareness and provided education to the community such that the number of bears killed has greatly decreased. Our society survives on kind donations from residents and our fundraising initiatives. These funds enable us to print our educational literature, local neighbourhood signage, and contribute funding towards the soon to be released bear habitat/corridor study that calls for local planners to make provisions for our coast's bears in future land use decision making.
